FIFA WCQ/AFC Asian Cup 2019 Qualifiers Matchday 10

Uzbekistan won their group after their 2 victories vs Philippines and Bahrain and also counted with the help from the Philippines who beat DPR Korea and deny the North koreans to end 1st in the group.

Tajiksiatn recovered after their disastrous loss vs Australia and won an historic match in Dushanbe 1-0

Afghanistan recorded a historic result vs Singapore 2-1

The eight group winners and four best second-placed teams that will take their place in the third qualifying round draw are as follows:

Group A: Saudi Arabia

Group B: Australia

Group C: Qatar

Group D: Iran

Group E: Japan

Group F: Thailand

Group G: Korea Republic

Group H: Uzbekistan

The 3rd Round draw will be held in Kuala Lumpur on April 12

These 12 teams divided in to two groups of six.The six teams in each group will play each other on a home and away basis with top two sides from each group booking their place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals.

The two third-placed teams will face each other over two legs, with the winner taking on the side that finishes fourth in the fifth round of the CONCACAF qualifiers in a two-legged inter-confederation playoff

The Playoff round draw will be made on April 7 in Kuala Lumpur

The matches will be played on 2 and 7 June 2016 with the winners qualifying for the third round.

Pot A: Tajikistan, Chinese Taipei, Maldives, Malaysia, Laos

Pot B: India, Yemen, Timor Leste, Bangladesh, Cambodia

The 5 losers from above will join Bhutan to create three matches which will be played on 6 September and 11 October 2016. The three winners will qualify for the third round.
