Navidad a la peruana

Inspirado en el post de mi amigo Michan en Finlandia haciendo las comparaciones sobre como se celebra la Navidad tanto en Finlandia como en España yo pasaré a enumerar los pros y los contras de la Navidad peruana y sus diferencias con Navidad española.

A continuación te contaré como es pasar la Navidad sobretodo en donde yo vivo, en Lima ya que las celebraciones varían a lo largo y ancho del territorio nacional, en las 3 regiones del Perú las celebraciones se desarrollan de manera diferente.

Perú (en Lima)

Pros:

• La comida: El pavo es el protagonista de estas fechas, el clásico de todos los clásicos y prácticamente en todas las mesas esta presente, se adereza con sillao y otras cosillas, se hornea acompañado de bastantes papas y cuando esta listo suelta un jugó riquisimo, se acompaña con arroz, tamales, puré de manzana y por lo menos en el caso de mi familia también se acompaña con piña y durazno, panetón y de tomar Coca Cola.

• Horarios: Siempre empiezo a comer a las 10:00 pm, una hora ideal para que luego baje la comida y estar listos para la medianoche

• Fuegos artificiales: Cualquier persona puede adquirir estos pirotécnicos y reventarlos a la hora que quiera, pero siempre se empieza a reventar entrada la noche el día 24 de Diciembre y los pirotécnicos se pueden escuchar hasta las 4 de la mañana, el momento de mas bulla es sin duda alguna la medianoche cuando llega el momento en que todas la familias se desean Feliz Navidad y vienen los abrazos, el espectáculo pirotécnico es simplemente impresionante y muy bonito.

• Villancicos: Los Toribianitos son un clásico de las Navidades, en ninguna casa puede faltar su música y en los centros comerciales y mercados se escucha hasta el cansancio sus canciones, realmente todas las canciones de Los Toribianitos son muy bonitas y a mi me gusta mucho.

Contras:

• No hay nieve: Lógicamente, ya que Navidad en el Perú se celebra cuando el verano empieza en todo el hemisferio sur, zona donde el Perú esta localizado y por lo menos en mi caso yo no tomo chocolate caliente pero yo no lo hago porque con el calor del verano y encima tomarme una taza de chocolate caliente ya es demasiado calor y lo que básicamente quiero es consumir cosas frescas

• No hay Lotería de Navidad: A diferencia de España donde cada 22 de Diciembre se celebra la Lotería, probablemente el sorteo de lotería más seguido de todo el año en Perú no pasa lo mismo, no hay una Lotería de Navidad, esa costumbre me parece una muy buena costumbre  y espero que algún día se pueda hacer un sorteo de Lotería de Navidad en Perú, sería algo muy genial.

What a competition today. This winter season has started with some good surprises. If I start listing them all, I will not finish till the New Year. Engelberg was full of different flags and people, supporting their favorites. Once again we could feel some Christmas spirit with the illuminated ski jump.

The first challenge for the ski jumpers was the qualification. Starting at 12.30 CET, 62 athletes fought for 50 golden tickets for the competition which started at 14.00 CET. The winner was the Milka mannequin, Andreas Wellinger, followed by Anders Fannemel and Richie Sonntag. The longest jumps belonged to already PQ Daniel Andre Tande and Domen Prevc – 140.5 metres.

The first round left us speechless. At least me. Can’t say what it was, maybe some wind of change, but Peter Prevc was out for the final round. Finishing 33th, he was put behind the fence, watching the second…
